This can cause deficiencies in the acquisition of the fundamentals that can lead to a disassociation between theory and practice. The involvement of the student in the development of a practical application where the fundamentals are a necessary tool allows being a motivating instrument. For this purpose, in this paper is introduced the methodology based on challenges, analysing the impact on the results as well as the acceptance and perception received by the students. The results of the study show an improvement in the deep involvement of students, both in theoretical concepts, as in their practical application, as well as greater motivation to focus the subject and keep attendance until the end.
Luis Miguel Muñoz Morgado Copyright (c) https://www.historicoeagora.net/revEDUMAT/article/view/2212 Wed, 08 Jul 2020 00:00:00 +0000 The Guayabita’s Game as a Detonator of Emotions: a Look at Political Emotions https://www.historicoeagora.net/revEDUMAT/article/view/2531
This work is a methodological proposal divided into three fundamental parts, based on Action Research that analyzes aspects related to the mathematical emotions obtained with the game Guayabita con Dos Dados, feelings that are then redirected towards the Political Emotions that are part of the improvement of society, and the strengthening of communal relations. Elements such as the "tally sheet" are taken into account, which helps to obtain information regarding the sums of the faces of the tosses of two dice, an issue that when analyzed contributes to the understanding of probabilistic concepts and counting techniques.
Jorge Jhonattan Castellanos Sosa Copyright (c) https://www.historicoeagora.net/revEDUMAT/article/view/2531 Wed, 25 Nov 2020 00:00:00 +0000 Characteristics of the Initial Training of the Degree in Biology and the Teaching Practice of the UPN https://www.historicoeagora.net/revEDUMAT/article/view/2571
This article presents some results on the research that characterizes the initial training of the Bachelor of Biology at the Universidad Pedagógica Nacional, the development of teaching practice and its perception, in a group of students. A mixed methodology was designed bearing in mind Resolution 185835 of 2017 that guides the operation of Bachelor's Degrees in Colombia. The research concludes that there is an articulation of the disciplinary, pedagogical and didactic components, that the teaching practice begins in the foundation cycle and ends with a pedagogical project and mentions the challenges that this group faced in their teaching practice.
Mónica Liliana Peralta Rodríguez Copyright (c) https://www.historicoeagora.net/revEDUMAT/article/view/2571 Wed, 09 Dec 2020 00:00:00 +0000 The Experience of Applying Active Learning in a Course in Systems Engineering https://www.historicoeagora.net/revEDUMAT/article/view/2093
The present work discloses the experience of applying active learning in an introductory course in the career Ingeniería en Sistemas de Información de la Universidad Nacional. The experience includes: the comparison of the traditional model versus the active learning model, the description of the course, description of the population, support elements when applying active learning, the way in which active learning was implemented, tools used, perception of the students and conclusions. In this way the purpose of this article is to serve as an example to be used in other disciplinary areas and to allow teachers to improve their university didactics.
Irene Hernández Ruiz, Kerly Gómez Toaza Copyright (c) https://www.historicoeagora.net/revEDUMAT/article/view/2093 Wed, 09 Dec 2020 00:00:00 +0000 The Importance of Mathematical Intuition in the Teaching Processes https://www.historicoeagora.net/revEDUMAT/article/view/2829
This document shows how constitutive elements of intuition can lead a mathematics teacher to innovate in their educational practice. Taking into account the teaching processes in mathematics, it is proposed from the substitution method to solve integrals, to show the characteristics common to the definitions on intuition provided by both philosophers and mathematicians. We conclude that intuition not only has an important role in the epistemology of mathematics, but it can also play a fundamental role in both student learning and the teaching strategies of mathematics teachers.
Lina María Peña Páez, Oscar Yesid Mariño Copyright (c) https://www.historicoeagora.net/revEDUMAT/article/view/2829 Wed, 27 Jan 2021 00:00:00 +0000 Didactic Analysis of the Math Class: the Graphic Solution Method of the Systems of Linear Equations https://www.historicoeagora.net/revEDUMAT/article/view/2700
This article studies the classroom practices of two mathematics teachers when addressing the method of graphical solution of systems of linear equations 2 x 2. Through the Didactic Analysis model, a detailed description was made and allowed to obtain an evaluative scale of the teaching process. This was done from a Case Study methodology and whose main instruments were video recordings and class transcripts. It is established that the graphic method is relegated only to study the types of solutions of a system, but it is ignored that its didactic potential goes further.
Luis Alejandro Robayo León Copyright (c) https://www.historicoeagora.net/revEDUMAT/article/view/2700 Wed, 27 Jan 2021 00:00:00 +0000
